7.8 on the Holiday Scale

Sister Ida Claire walks up to my desk today and says, "I am having a really hard time getting into the Christmas spirit this year.  "Why," I ask.

She response quickly. "The earthquakes."

I respond, "Uhm...the earthquakes?"

"Yes. The earthquakes," she says.

 I ask, "The...uhm...ones in...Asia?"

"Those ones, too," she says.

"Oh," is all that I can think to say.
